Privacy Policy
Effective July 21, 2026 · Golf OS is operated by BLAC Works
This policy explains what Golf OS collects, why, and the controls you have. We’ve written it to be read, not skimmed past.
What we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash — we cannot read it).
- Group and golf activity. Groups you belong to, rounds, scores, pairings, RSVPs, results, competitions, Fan Play picks and points, and prize redemptions.
- Guest RSVPs. If you respond to an invitation without an account, we store only what the RSVP needs: your answer, your comment, and the name the invitation was addressed to. Your organizer can remove it entirely on request.
- Device basics. Standard technical logs (browser type, approximate region, timestamps) used for security and reliability. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
What we use it for
To run your games: collecting RSVPs, building pairings, keeping score, showing leaderboards, sending the reminders your organizer schedules, and maintaining your golf history. That’s it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share participant-level data with sponsors — sponsors see their own placements, never your activity.
Product analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how Golf OS is used — which features help, where people get stuck, and which courses golfers look for. These events describe product usage (for example, “a round was started” or “a course search found nothing”), never the content of your scores, messages, or personal records. Advertising personalization signals are disabled; we do not use analytics for ads and we do not sell analytics data.
Sharing controls
Sharing is off until you turn it on. Live-round visibility is a preference you control (private by default), and results publication is an explicit organizer decision. Group records (results, leaderboards) are shared with your group — that’s what makes them records — while your personal views and stats remain yours.
Corrections and history
Golf OS keeps honest history: score corrections and result reopenings are preserved with who, when, and why. This protects the integrity of your group’s records; it is visible to your group’s organizers, not the public.
Your rights
- Access and export. Download a complete copy of your data anytime from Settings → Your data.
- Deletion. Delete your account from Settings. Your personal data is removed; group records you appeared in are preserved with your identity removed (“Departed golfer”), so your departure doesn’t rewrite everyone else’s history.
- Guests. If you RSVP’d without an account, ask your organizer to remove your details — the roster has a one-tap removal for exactly this.
Retention and security
We keep your information while your account is active and as long as your group’s records need it. Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and access inside BLAC Works is limited and logged on the BLAC OS platform’s audit stream.
Children
Golf OS accounts are for people 13 and older. Fan Play profiles for younger family members must be created and managed by a parent or guardian.
Changes and contact
